Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do.
I grew up in Wyoming and love climbing and skiing. When I’m not working, I’m either outside with my dog, learning engraving (for printmaking), or trying to blend code with art. At Creative Market, I’m currently focused on building a big new feature that should blow some minds.
What were you doing before you joined the team and how did you and Creative Market “find each other”?
We go way back. I met Darius at kirupaForum when I was in high school. A few years into engineering school, I dropped out and joined the COLOURlovers team. There I built Seamless Studio and started prototyping marketplace features before Creative Market existed. Between COLOURlovers and Creative Market, I had a stretch at DIY where I built out the web side of their missionâ€â€a reimagined version of scouting for kids.
What’s your workstation like? Do you have any tools or gadgets you can’t live without?
It’s nothing too crazy. A 15″ MBP on my counter in my kitchen. Lotsa CTRL+LEFT, CTRL+RIGHT action.
Are there any go-to tunes you like to listen to when you’re in the zone?
I cannot answer this. However, when I’m not “in the zone”, I enjoy The Lumineers, Sigur Rós, and K’NAAN.
Where in the marketplace would people see some of the projects you’ve worked on?
Currently, the Buy Credits page and some improvements to comments on the site (like mentions).
What’s your favorite shop on Creative Market?
LaRue & Company – I love how much character she packs into her illustration.
