Shop Front Showcase, Vol. 1

Lesley Yarbrough Last updated: March 20, 2024 · 1 min read

A good store front is attractive and welcoming–it captures the essence of the brand and convinces potential customers that what they’re thinking about doing is a pretty good idea. Here on Creative Market we see so many great banners from our shops and it only makes sense to share the awesome with you. Check out volume one of many showcases to come, and if you have any personal favorites you’d like to share, let’s talk shop in the comments. 🙂

  • @Lesley > An idea for the market...you could have weekly highlights that shows off the top sold and most recommended products of the week. Would be nice to see which items are doing well on this market (as a whole). 14 years ago
  • @The Fireworks Police great idea, that would be a cool way to highlight the most popular products every week. 14 years ago
  • @Lesley Yarbrough I would rather promote new products because the top selling products are already featured on homepage. Just my opinion. Also, I think a "random" homepage widget that features a random item from the market will be great for helping users find hidden gems. ( The item can be updated on each refresh or maybe once in 12 hours so, if someone gets lucky, the product will stay on the homepage for that time ) 14 years ago
  • I like Mihai's suggestion. One of the downfalls of other markets is that they promote the top sellers, which will obviously continue to sell more while the unknown (but just as good) stuff gets hidden in the back. You guys do a great job on the homepage of highlighting new/handpicked stuff. I would just be wary of promoting top sellers too much. 14 years ago
  • Now that I think about it, he is right. Some items just get lost in the pile of items. And sometimes it's a Goldmine. Btw how come name tagging doesnt work for me? @name? Autocomplete? 14 years ago
  • Excellent points all around, we can definitely come up with a way to share these hidden gems on the blog and get them some attention. @The Fireworks Police it might be admin-only at the moment, sorry for any confusion. Should be rolling out soon to everyone. :) 14 years ago

  • Hey everyone, I've actually *just* updated my cover yesterday and would love some feedback on it if anyone has the time? After May I will remove the Nepal Relief badge, but otherwise it will remain the same. Thanks! 11 years ago
